My CLEAN House

I worked so hard to get my house in order for my first Thanksgiving dinner. It was such a relief when I was finally done and it looked good. I don't have any fall decorations so I went ahead and decorated for Christmas. We had a great Thanksgiving. Caleb's parents and Callie joined us. The food was awesome. Thank you Cheryl and Callie for bringing and helping prepare the food.
It's December!!!!
I am so glad it is December. I am ready for Christmas to be here. We are almost completely done with Christmas shopping. We have several surprises this year. Hopefully the kids like what they are getting as much as I do. I snapped these pictures yesterday. I lacked one picture for the calendars I make and needed to finish them. The site I am using this year to make them was having a huge cyber Monday sale. I LOVE cyber Monday!
Cian's New Sweater
Mom made this cute sweater vest for Cian before he was born. He is finally big enough to start wearing it. It looks great on him. Thank you so much Mom!!! These pics were taken a few weeks ago when Mom and Dad were here visiting.

He isn't wearing his sweater vest in this picture, but I couldn't resist adding this picture. Dad has that special touch.

Kasia's Pre-School Thanksgiving Party

Kasia's class had their Thanksgiving party Thursday. It was a lot of fun. They had chick-fil-a chicken nuggets and fruit for lunch and a turkey cake for dessert. The kids received really cute aprons with their names and a hand turkey painted on it. They also decorated chef's hats. The idea is for them to wear them when they help their families prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Such a cute idea and they looked adorable.

Food
Wow! I have been a cooking machine the past four days. I highly recommend that everyone checks out The Pioneer Woman cookbook. It is awesome! So far I have made enchiladas, Marlboro Man's favorite sandwich, meatballs with mashed potatoes, and today cinnamon rolls. I froze most of the cinnamon rolls. They are almost too good. Enough of my ranting. Check it out.

Halloween 2009
Ever since I was little, my dad has done crazy, scary stuff for Halloween. I think he got some of his inspiration from The Haunted Mansion at Disney World. Our house was always one of the scariest houses to trick-or-treat. I think that some parents skipped our house all together so that their kids wouldn't have nightmares.
For the past four years Dad has rotated taking his stuff to Texas and Oklahoma. This year was our year. Sorry Heidi. We set up in the morning on Saturday to make sure that everything was in the right spot and working properly. It looked awesome. We used caution tape to herd kids down a path leading to the candy table. They had to pass to creepy, hissing, and moving zombies, go under the archway, past the coffin with the dead man trying to get out, and then finally they were at the candy table. Unfortunately, they also had to get candy from the hissing snake and the scary guy holding the bowl who was blowing air at them. And if that isn't scary enough, a zombie popped out of a hidden hole in the table right after they got their candy. Oh, and did I mention all of the live creepy people/things that were stalking around. They tended to sneak up behind them when they weren't paying attention.
This year I decided to make my kids into mummies rather than the typical store bought costumes I usually get. They turned out so awesome. Caleb's mom came as an awesome scary witch this year. She met the trick-or-treaters at the start of our driveway.

The Pioneer Woman
Yesterday afternoon while I was checking out updates on facebook, I discovered that the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, was going to be launching her cookbook tour at the Tulsa Historical Society in Tulsa. My sister has been a fan of hers for awhile now. After hearing about her from Heidi, mom and I started checking her out. Her blog is very witty and I really like her photography and cooking sites. Ok, I'm rambling now. Anyways, after checking with Caleb to see if he would watch Kaden and Kasia I decided to take Cian and go to the signing. I also asked our friend Julie if she would like to go with me. She agreed to go even though she had never heard of the Pioneer Woman. We were glad we got there early because they sold out of books not long after us. It was a fun event. We got free t-shirts, cupcakes, and bottled coke. Ree did a short q&a and then started signing books. After 2 hours of waiting I finally got mine signed. The goodness is we got to sit during this time and not stand in a long line. Also I would like to say that Cian is the best baby. He did so good through the entire event. He wasn't fussy and slept part of the time. If you haven't heard of her, check her out at www.thepioneerwoman.com.
Thank you Julie for taking this picture. She had to use my phone because Kasia wasn't happy when I left my house and I forgot to grab my camera in my quick escape. Also, it was almost 10:00 last night when this picture was taken so we were all getting a little tired.
Tinker Bell

Last Saturday we went to Eagle Fest at Kasia's school. Kasia recently got a Tinker Bell costume and she wanted to wear it to the festival. After she got her costume on, me being a great mom decided to doll her up with some makeup. She looked so cute. I snapped a few quick pics of her before we left. Caleb's sister, Andi, and Ryon were in town and they went with us. The kids played games, jumped in an inflatable obstacle course, and Kasia did a pony ride. It was a lot of fun. Later that night Caleb informed me that I am not allowed to put makeup on Kasia anymore. Apparently it bothered him seeing his little girl so done up. Of course, I will though.
