Silly Girl

My silly, silly, girl. She is so much fun. She loves dressing herself. A few days ago she decided to wear hot pink tights with a new pair of orange and pink plaid shorts. She also had a long sleeve shirt with a new t-shirt that matched the shorts. She finished the outfit off with a funky jacket and her cowgirl boots. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of her. I did let her wear it out though. How could I tell her to change when she put so much work into it.

WOW - Look at that smile!

Kaden lost two teeth in one week. First he lost one of his bottom teeth. Then he lost one of the top teeth. They had been loose for quite awhile and were definetly ready to come out. He just wouldn't pull them. It was extremely hard for me to resist the temptation to pull them out for him. I even had thoughts of sneaking into his room at night and pulling the top one out while he was asleep. In the end he pulled both teeth all by himself.

No photo session is complete without a few pictures with the tongue out. I think they get that from their dad.

I guess Kaden felt I had taken enough pictures. What do you think?

Blue and Gold Celebration

On Saturday we went to Pack 897's Blue and Gold Celebration. They had a father son cake contest. The main rule of the competition is that there wasn't supposed to be any female assistance with the making of the cake. Even clean-up. I was very impressed with how well Kaden and Caleb's cake turned out. It tasted awesome too. At the end of the day they drew tickets to see who would get to throw a pie in a scout leader's face. Kaden's number was the third one drawn and after weighing his options between his two leaders, he chose Faith. Poor Faith. He got her good. On the way home he told us that was definately the highlight of his evening.

Pinewood Derby

A few weeks ago Kaden participated in his first Pinewood Derby. Kaden's car looked really cool. He designed the whole thing on paper and then Caleb helped cut it out. Kaden did most of the finishing of the car (sanding and painting). It was a lot of fun watching his car race. By the end of the morning he had finished 3rd in the Wolf category.
