Kaden and Cian

Just a few pictures from this evening.

This evening Caleb's dad met us at El Tequila to celebrate Kaden's birthday. We love going there on the kids birthdays because they put big sombrero's on people celebrating their birthday. Kaden loved it. Afterwards, we went home and enjoyed the cake I made earlier today.

I took these pictures of Kaden and Kasia a few days ago. Kaden is showing off some of his new G.I. JOE toys.

Seven and 4 weeks

Kaden turned seven today. It is so hard to believe that he is now seven and a second grader. The time has really flown by. We started the day by everyone singing Happy Birthday to him. He was especially excited about school this morning. I think he was looking forward to telling all of his friends that today was his birthday. I hope he is equally excited when he gets home and sees what I made him. I baked and decorated a birthday cake for him. I will add that it is a less than wonderful looking cake, but it is the thought that counts right? I am sure that he will like it. He will just be happy that I attempted to decorate his cake. I will add pictures later of my big seven year old (and his cake).

Cian is now 4 weeks old. He has grown a ton. His face is much rounder. He is still doing great and sleeping good at night. Kaden and Kasia are still excited to have him around and Kaden loves holding him. While I am taking pictures of Kaden tonight, I will get some new ones of Cian.

Misc. Pictures

Just a few pics from yesterday and today. Cian is really starting to fill out. I can't believe how much he has changed in only 3 1/2 weeks.

Playing at the Park

A little over a week ago we went to the park with Caleb's mom. We had stopped at Subway on our way and had a great picnic at the pavilion. After we ate our lunch the big kids had fun playing on the play equipment.

Kasia's first day of preschool

My baby girl started pre3 this morning. She did a great job going into her class all by herself. I know she was a little bit nervous, but she never cried or acted like she didn't want to stay. Her teacher did a great job of introducing her to some of her classmates and showing her some toys. I don't think she even noticed that I was leaving. I can't wait to pick her up this afternoon and hear how her big day went.

More pics from yesterday

2nd Grade

Hard to believe my big boy started 2nd grade yesterday. The past 7 years have gone by so fast. Well, I guess it won't be 7 years until next week. Two years ago we made the big decision to go ahead and send Kaden to Kindergarten even though his birthday was only 5 days from the deadline. I am so glad we sent him when we did. He has done so good. Last year he did great in 1st grade and especially excelled in math. Kaden was so excited yesterday to be back at school. He has several friends in his class from previous years.

One More Pic

Too Cute!

Ok, I am having entirely too much fun taking pictures of my kids. Heidi kept telling me to be sure and get naked pics of Cian while he is little. I took these yesterday. Kaden and Kasia had fun helping me get him positioned. They also enjoyed volunteering their hands for a few pictures.

More Family Photos

Yesterday my parents headed home to Johnson. My Mom had been here a little over three weeks and Dad for one week. They have helped so much with stuff around the house and keeping the big kids happy while I was either on bed rest or in the hospital. It was sad to see them go, but I know we need to get used to it being just the five of us.

Last night Caleb's parents, Ryon, and Kaden came by for dinner. Kaden had spent the night in Nowata. While Caleb was fixing an awesome meal, I snapped some really quick pictures of all of the kids together and of the kids with their Grandparents. I was very pleased with how they turned out. I literally did them in about 5 minutes. The big boys had been to the pool earlier in the day and were tired and Cian was getting hungry.

Today has been good. Caleb took Kaden and Kasia to Nowata for basketball drills. Kaden is getting so good. He can walk and dribble two basketballs and dribble a figure eight between his legs. Not bad for still only being six. Kasia can dribble 1/3 of the court now. She is also learning how to do a bounce pass. I can't even begin to imagine what she will be able to do by the time she is six.

While they were in Nowata, I took Cian to the pediatrician. He is doing great. He had weighed 7 lbs 2 oz when we left the hospital and is now up to 7 lbs 6 oz.

Fun Family Pics

I had a lot of fun today taking pictures of Cian by himself and with his siblings and Grandparents. Kaden and Kasia were so cooperative and did a great job smiling for the camera. Of course, I think that they just really enjoyed holding their new baby brother. I also had a good time taking pictures of my parents with all three kids. Hopefully I can get a good picture tomorrow of Caleb and I with the kids.

Cian James Hass

Cian James Hass was born July 29, 2009 at 12:15 pm. He was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 1/2 inches.

It was quite a week. I was scheduled to be induced Thursday the 30th, but had to move the date up by one day. I woke up Tuesday morning not feeling good and having high blood pressure. After talking to my doctors nurse I was advised to go ahead and go to the hospital to see what was going on. We spent all afternoon in triage. Finally after lots of tests it was decided that we would be admitted and be induced Wed. I was started on a low dose of pitocin at midnight and at 5 am they started increasing the amount. It all went by very quickly and shortly after noon Cian made his debut. Even though he was exactly 3 weeks early, he is a good sized boy. He is so sweet and lovable. Kaden and Kasia absolutely adore him. Kaden could spend all day holding him. They were both so cute when they got to see him shortly after he was born. Kaden held him first and was so fascinated with him. When Kasia got her turn she sang Happy Birthday Cian to him. My doctor had us stay 2 nights and we got home Friday around 10 am. He did great last night.
